Harrison is the home to North Arkansas College.
Harrison has been blessed with a number of water sports and fishing opportunities. With Bull Shoals Lake north of Harrison, the Buffalo National River south, the White River east, and Crooked Creek running through Harrison, we offer many different places to enjoy your favorite water sports.
Harrison is the Boone County seat and as such, the main governmental activities of the county are centered here, including the county judge and road crews, the county sheriff and attendant law enforcement operation. An elected county judge and quorum court members representing different areas of the county govern Boone County.
